Terms of Use

1. The agreement

Rare Personas (rarepersonas.com, the "Site") is operated by a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania ("we", "us"). These terms are a binding agreement between you and us. They apply to everything on the Site: the quizzes, the result pages, the written archetype profiles, the artwork and any paid products we offer. By using the Site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Site. How we handle personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which is part of the agreement between us. Questions about these terms go to support@rarepersonas.com.

2. What the Site offers

The Site offers free personality quizzes. When you finish one, you get a result with a written profile of your archetype. You can read the profiles, share your result link and browse the archetype library without paying anything and without creating an account. Leaving your email is optional, and from time to time we may offer paid products, such as extended reports, under section 6.

3. Made for self-discovery, not advice

Our quizzes and profiles exist for self-discovery, reflection and fun. They are not medical, psychiatric, psychological or therapeutic services of any kind. A quiz result is not a diagnosis, not an assessment of your mental health and not a substitute for talking to a qualified professional. Nothing on the Site creates a professional or therapeutic relationship between you and us. If something in your life needs real support, please turn to a qualified person, not to a quiz.

The quizzes are also built for you, about you. They are not designed for judging other people, and you must not use them to screen, evaluate, hire, promote, dismiss or otherwise make decisions about anyone else, including in any workplace, educational or recruitment setting. If you use the Site in such a context anyway, you do so entirely at your own risk and responsibility.

Whatever you decide to do after reading a result is your decision. We are not responsible for choices you make based on the Site's content.

4. Quiz results

Results are calculated from your answers, so they are only as honest as the answers you give. Personality is bigger than any questionnaire, and we do not promise that a result will describe you accurately or completely. We keep improving our quizzes, questions and scoring, which means retaking a quiz later can produce a different result. That is a feature of an evolving product, not a defect.

Your result page address contains your encoded answers. Sharing the link is entirely up to you; anyone who has it can open it.

5. Email features

If you choose to leave your email address, for example to save or receive your result, you agree that the address is yours and that we may contact you as described in the Privacy Policy. Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link.

6. Paid products

When we offer paid products, what you get and what it costs is shown at checkout before you pay. Prices include VAT where it applies. Payment is processed by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers. Digital products are delivered right after payment, normally on the Site itself or by email.

We may change our products and prices at any time. Changes do not affect purchases you have already made. If a price shown was an obvious mistake, we may cancel the order and refund you instead of delivering at the wrong price.

7. Refunds

Every purchase comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not happy with a paid product for any reason, email support@rarepersonas.com within 30 days of the purchase and we will refund the full amount to your original payment method. Refunds normally arrive within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

This guarantee is more generous than the 14-day withdrawal right EU consumer law gives you for digital content, so you lose nothing by using it. Your statutory rights stay untouched either way.

We can refuse a refund outside your statutory rights if the guarantee is being abused, for example through repeated buy-and-refund cycles or a chargeback raised on a purchase that was delivered as described. Talk to us first; a chargeback is slower for you than we are.

8. Our content is protected

The quizzes, questions, scoring logic, written profiles, artwork, design and the Rare Personas name and logo belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial permission to use the Site: take the quizzes, read the content, print or save pages for yourself, share your result link anywhere and quote short passages with credit and a link.

Without our written permission, you must not:

• republish, copy or redistribute substantial parts of the Site, including the quiz questions, scoring or profiles;
• use the content, artwork or brand to build or promote another product or service, including a competing quiz;
• sell, rent or sublicense anything from the Site, or modify our content and present it as your own;
• collect the Site's content by scraping or other automated extraction, including for training machine learning models;
• use our name, logo or artwork in your own branding.

9. Fair use of the Site

You agree not to:

• disrupt or overload the Site, or interfere with its security or with other visitors' use of it;
• probe, scan or test the Site for vulnerabilities, or bypass measures that restrict access;
• introduce malware or any other harmful code, or use the Site to distribute it;
• access the Site with bots or other automated tools at a volume no human would produce;
• pretend the Site endorses you, or impersonate us or anyone else in connection with it;
• use the Site for anything unlawful.

10. Feedback

We love hearing ideas and feedback, and we read what you send. By sending any, you agree we may use it freely, without payment or obligation, including in our products. Please do not send anything you consider confidential or proprietary; nothing you send us creates a confidential relationship between us.

11. Links to other places

The Site may link to websites we do not run. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Their terms apply there, not ours.

12. The Site will change

We keep building. Quizzes, questions, scoring, profiles, features and free or paid offerings can change, move or be retired at any time, and the Site can be temporarily unavailable while we work on it. We do not promise that any particular feature or any particular quiz will stay available forever.

13. No warranties

The Site and everything on it is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

14. Limits on our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow to be excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory consumer rights always remain.

Beyond that, and as far as the law allows:

• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data or reputational harm;
• we are not liable for decisions you or anyone else makes based on a quiz result, including any use in a business, employment or educational context, which section 3 does not permit;
• we are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages of infrastructure providers, natural disasters or government action;
• our total liability to you for all claims combined is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 30 euros if you have paid us nothing.

15. If these terms are broken

If you break these terms, we may block your access to the Site, cancel pending orders and take legal action where appropriate. You agree to compensate us for losses, costs and third-party claims that arise directly from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the Site.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Site and the law evolve. The date at the top always shows the current version, and meaningful changes will be made visible on the Site. If you keep using the Site after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply to you. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the Site; for paid products, the terms in force at the time of your purchase keep applying to that purchase.

17. Law, disputes and the rest

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live continue to apply, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country if it is an EU member state. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, though we prefer you simply write to us first: most problems are solved fastest at support@rarepersonas.com.

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a part of these terms right away, we are not giving up the right to enforce it later. We may transfer this agreement to a successor of our business, provided your rights under it are not reduced; you may not transfer it without our consent. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site.
